Could you let me know if any of our learning disabled athletes (IQ below 75) want to compete in the Welsh Regional SO gala in Cardiff on October 18th? This has events suitable for swimmers who are able to swim 25m unaided. I need to do my entries soon so let me know by the 14th at the latest if you want to compete!!!! Thank you!
Don’t forget the Pembrokeshire Puffins event is on November 8th with events suited to everyone.
The website is now back up and running - - so please use it to keep up to date with cancellations and future events.
There is a swimmers page which showcases all our members and if anyone would like to write a little note about themselves and what they like about swimming then I will get that added on!
There is also a staff page with the same opportunity to write a note about why you volunteer with Stingrays ...... It would be great to see some script on there too (hint hint)
Finally I'm sure everyone would like to join me and congratulate our coach/volunteer Jack Thomas on his success over the summer. He represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games at Glasgow in the S14 200fr and won bronze, then went on to Eindhoven and represented GB, winning 2 silvers and another bronze! Well done Jack!
I would also like to congratulate volunteers Mike Barry and Dan Bendle on passing their Level 2 teaching! Fabulous!
